Hello there...!

It's so nice to see you here. I just realised I never properly introduced myself.. better late than never right?

Welcome to my friendly, ‘let it all hang out’ corner of the internet. A place where I can hopefully just be myself and make some lovely connections, and then when I’ve got the feel of the place, share a few nuggets of wisdom and a space to get creative with me. I’d love to do some group drawing sessions at some point so I do hope you’ll join me.

A little bit about me - I’m Verity, originally from the UK - North East, I have lived in Spain for the last 26 years. The first 21 of those in Madrid and now in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The two noodle horses in the pic are my rescue Galgos - Minnie and Pelusa. They are also my supervisors who won’t settle in the morning until I’m at my desk.

I work as a Live Illustrator and Visual Storyteller and I have a Textile Design degree that I did in the last century before Photoshop and Illustrator were born.

What to expect from me on here… creative stuff, sketchbook experiments, discoveries, my latest antique purchases (read old furniture thats probably not very valuable) and eventually those group drawing sessions I mentioned above. I’m making this up as I go along so let’s see.

What I HAVE done, and got very excited about in the process, is upload a couple of VERY OLD blogs from Wordpress - mainly from when I was having a grown up gap year and rediscovering my long lost creative roots, and also a cruise adventure with two Alzheimic parents. These were written at a real point of inflection in my life, so I’m glad I’ve rediscovered them and given them a new home here. I hope you will enjoy them too.
